6.1. Purpose
RECA aims to create a professional, supportive and respectful learning environment. This Learner Code of Conduct sets out expected behaviours for all learners.
6.2. Respectful Behaviour
Learners must:
- Treat instructors, staff and fellow learners with respect and courtesy.
- Avoid harassment, discrimination, bullying, insults or any form of abusive language or behaviour.
- Respect cultural, professional and personal differences.
6.3. Professional Communication
- Maintain professional standards in written and verbal communication (forums, live sessions, emails).
- Avoid sharing offensive or inappropriate content.
6.4. Confidentiality
- Respect the confidentiality of any information shared by other learners during courses or sessions.
- Do not share or publicise personal or sensitive information about others without their explicit consent.
6.5. Misconduct and Consequences
Examples of misconduct include:
- Harassment or hate speech.
- Intentional disruption of sessions.
- Sharing unauthorised recordings or course content.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
RECA may, at its discretion, issue warnings, suspend access, or permanently remove learners who breach this Code of Conduct. Serious breaches may result in loss of access without refund.
